You may have already seen our Earth Hour electric vehicle van making the rounds at schools around Hong Kong to spread this year’s theme of “Change the Way We Live”. Our WWF educators have been on the road to share with students how easy it is to introduce sustainable habits in our daily lives. Be sure to book our sustainability education team to come to your school or community group.
There’s more to Earth Hour than symbolically switching off the lights for one hour. Schools especially have a special role to play in spreading the message through student-led activities.
For Earth Hour 2019, WWF will help you design your very own customised Earth Hour programme that’s tailor-made for your school’s needs. WWF will support you by offering a range of activities, providing manpower and resource support.
You can select activities from three main themes: biodiversity, plastic pollution and renewable energy. From screenings of the thought-provoking documentary A Plastic Ocean, science workshops, exhibits and school bioblitz, there’s an array of activities to choose from for students to get involved and help make a difference.
So sign up for a week-long programme to bring home the Earth Hour message!
